ATARI PATENTS
Over the years Atari has revolutonized both computer technology and video gaming technology. A number of patents were issued to Atari in all its varous incarnations (Atari Inc, Atari Corp, Atari Games Corp) Many of these technologies are still in use and their related patents are still being enforced. In 1994 Sega Enterprises agreed to give Atari Corp $50 million for past patent violations and future rights to patent use. In addition they agreed to purchase $40 million in newly issued Atari stock.

As of December 31, 1995, Atari Corp held over 150 patents in
the United States and other
jurisdictions which expire from 1996 to 2010 and had applications
